BLS for Healthcare Provider- Online Course & Skills Test

In this program, students complete the cognitive portion (Part 1) of BLS for Healthcare Providers training through a series of self-paced online modules. Students answer short multiple-choice questions within case-based scenarios, and receive feedback based on their answers, to proceed through 10 critical checkpoints. This course provides access to 21 optional review sections, including 17 videos from the BLS for Healthcare Providers video, which reinforce the adult, child and infant CPR sequences taught in the course.  $70

This course is for healthcare providers seeking an initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card. Part 1 can be completed in approximately 1-2 hours; time to complete a practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) varies.

Please Note: Students are allowed up to 60 days after the completion of the online part of the course to complete the skills session.

Heartsaver CPR & AED Online Course & Skills Test

Basic training in CPR & AED use.

This course teaches:

  1. Adult/child CPR with mask
  2. Adult/child choking
  3. Adult/child AED use
  4. Optional modules in infant CPR and choking

Duration: 2.5 hours online; 45 minute skills session. Skills session included. Please call the training center at 661.993.2000 to schedule your skills session. $65

Heartsaver First Aid- Online Course & Skills Test

For anyone needing basic first aid training.

This course teaches:

  1. First aid basics
  2. Medical emergencies
  3. Injury emergencies
  4. Environmental emergencies

Duration: 1–2 hours online, 30 min. skills session. Skills session included. $50

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED Online Course & Skills Test

Comprehensive safety training for the workplace.

This course teaches:

  1. First aid basics
  2. Medical emergencies
  3. Adult/child CPR with mask
  4. Adult/child choking
  5. Adult/child AED use

Duration: 2.5 hours online, 45 min. skills session. Skills session included. $95

Adult EKG Rhythms

For healthcare providers needing basic rhythm recognition skills,   including those preparing for ACLS     

This course teaches:

  1. Basic rhythm understanding
  2. The relationship between the ECG strip and heart impulses
  3. Common arrhythmias
  4. Identifying and distinguishing various arrhythmias

This course offers continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and EMTs/paramedics.

This course is not compatible with Macintosh computers or operating systems.

 

Pediatric EKG Rhythms

For healthcare providers needing basic pediatric rhythm recognition skills, including those preparing for PALS training.

This course teaches:

  1. Basic pediatric rhythm understanding
  2. The relationship between the ECG strip and heart impulses
  3. Common pediatric arrhythmias
  4. Identifying and distinguishing various pediatric arrhythmias

This continuing education activity is certified for nurses and EMTs/paramedics. (CME credit for U.S. residents)

This course is not compatible with Macintosh computers or operating systems.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

This course is for anyone with a reasonable chance for occupational exposure to blood or blood-containing materials.

AHA’s course uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training. Students learn how to:
•  Protect themselves from exposure to bloodborne pathogens 
•  Act when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace
•  Clean themselves and the area when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace 
•  Tell or report any exposure to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace

This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction

Duration: 1 hour, site-specific instruction varies. AHA provides 24-hour phone support for questions pertaining to the content in this course.
